Information for Ordering Your Wedding Invitations
* Invitations should be sent out 6-8 weeks before your wedding.
* Invitations take about 7 to 10 days to come in.
* Invitations ordered from the silver Elite book take about 3 weeks.

When ordering wedding invitations, you'll need 5 primary items:
I. The Invitation itself, which comes with an envelope (most come with double envelopes and tissues). Most couples do have a return address printed on the back flap of the outside envelope to ensure delivery.

II. A Reception Card. This tells your guests when and where the reception is going to be held.

III. A Response Card. This card automatically comes with an envelope that is addressed to whomever you want the responses mailed back to. These cards will tell you who is coming to your wedding. The response date should be at least two weeks before your wedding date. Remember, you need to call the people who have not responded before you give a final head count to your banquet hall. You put the stamps on these.

IV. A Placecard or Tablecard. Assigned seating is normal for wedding receptions. These cards are placed outside the banquet room for the guests to take before entering, so they know where to sit.

V. A Thank You Card. Most couples want their thank you card to match their wedding invitation. This card can say Thank You, or your names i.e., Jane and Bob, Jane and Bob Smith, Mr. & Mrs. Robert Smith, etc.

* Before ordering your invitations you need to do an exact invitation count. This is different than a people count. To ballpark, we suggest, take the total number of guests you think you'll have, divide by 2 and add 25. Once again, we encourage an invitation count before ordering. You don't want to be short because it can be costly to order just 25 more.

* Before mailing out your wedding invitations, we suggest putting one together and taking it to the post office to be weighed so that you know exactly how much postage to put on your invitations.
